Lowering the Seat 3-4"?

A friend wants to know if anyone knows how to lower the TTR 3-4".  He has installed a Kubalink, but this device seems to have lowered it less than an inch.

Quite a few reports of seat lowering have been aired, Larry.

Many have recoursed to home improvements with bread knife, scissors and other implements. Others have trusted their local upholsterer to modify with foam cutters (heated wire elements).

Whichever way you use is up to your resources, but it can be done.

My original seat measures just 5" at the extreme. A reduction of 3" to 4" would not leave much comfort margin.

The outcomes have usually been satisfactory but you have to remember that it's usually a one way effect and taking too much off can leave your "situpon" a tad jarred due to lack of compression material. bleh

This is a bit odd as the Koubalink should have lowered the TTR by 2" confuse

Could one or more of the suspension linkage joints be seized?

Also, has he raised the fork legs up through the yokes to "balance" the bike out?

It is also possible to wind off the rear shock spring to lose some height.
