thanks Brian! i just opened my carb and i found out that i have 142 and 48 jets! I am pretty sure the are not the OEM because they look pretty new...
My next setup will be 137 and 50!!! Thanks again!
Oh dear - that is confusing! As I pointed out in the FAQ, some early TTRs had 142 and 48 jets. Unless you are having carburation problems or have altered something else I suggest you save your money and stick with what you got
If there is an owner out there can tell us more about the OEM carb types and standard jetting please?
From my own point of view, if the TTR is running OK, I leave everything alone!
I dont know if it was going ok with 142 48 because my top end was destoyed! :P
Anyway, after the rebuild i will leave it this way and see how it will go. But i will change it to 137 50 to see if it is better.will i see any improvement?
I have a shop near me that sells jet really cheap!
What jets you used when you had your bike 250cc?
