Martyn - Yep, it's the Derbyshire Peaks, just south of Macclesfield Forest.

Nice neck of the woods.

My childhood was spent in the Sheffield area and I used to use Derbyshire as my playground in my "yoof".  smile

I spent many happy times in the Hope Valley area; Bamford, Hathersage, Castleton, Edale with Matlock Bath thrown in on occasions.

I must admit a trip or two to the Cat and Fiddle on the Buxton road but I never went much over Macclesfield way. no

Rose tinted glasses I suppose. Some of the views are stupendous with BIG skies and acres of heather.
