hi everyone im having a nightmare trying to get a replacment top bearing kit for the rear shock ive tryed everywere to know avail my bike has been off the road road now for two months and need to get it sorted so please if anyone can help me id be really grateful
This is what another owner said on the old Yahoo forum - not ideal but would get you back on the road!
You really don't need any special spacers made, it's not that involved. Just use the bottom bearing as it comes in the kit with the bushes supplied, you will see that when the bearing and bushes are in place in the shocker that they don't quite clear the width of the shocker hole where the bearing sits, so add a washer or 2 each side on top of the bushes to bring the width out to the dimension of the frame lug where the shocker mounts.
The problem with the original mount is that it is nigh on impossible to get the wide collars out in one piece to re-use as they are brittle and easily break. That is why Andy's kit scores so highly in my opinion.
