Interchangeability of Open Enduro and Raid seats and tanks

The question has often been asked if OE and Raid seats and tanks were swappable.

Well, I had one of each models side by side in the garage today so thought I would try out a swap.

This is an Open Enduro with a Raid tank and seat. You can see that it is quite a good fit despite the extra width of the Raid seat at the back. The frame fittings are the same for both models.

I then tried a spare OE tank and seat on the Raid and the fit was OK but it didn't look quite as good as the Raid side panels sticking out quite a bit.

The tanks and seats on the OE and Raid fit together quite differently so any swap would mean matching an OE seat to an OE tank and Raid seat to Raid tank.

So the answer is that they are swappable but as a pair.

After reading the thread about petrol tanks

I have a question, is the OE tank bigger, or is it the other way round

The Raid tank is 16 litres - or so I am given to understand - compared to about 8-9 litres on the OE.

Is an Open Enduro seat the same shape as a "blue" model?

Yep - they are perfectly interchangeable - the seat foams and bases are exactly the same wink
