1996 Raid in need of a lot of TLC!

I seem to spend a lot of time waiting for work to be done by tradesmen which is delaying my other projects so, being a gluton for punishment, I thought I would see what I could do with this Raid:

I have the cylinder head and other bits in boxes but there are a few bonuses - kickstart, decompressor (but missing cable and lever), oil cooler and wide pegs biggrinbiggrin

Still very sore mate - and I have some terrific bruises on my leg and arm cry

Sorry to confuse other readers but I had a bit of an "off" last week and both me and my TTR went sliding down the tarmac road - nothing broken - just sprains and bruises. But when you get older you don't bounce as well and everything takes longer to heal cry

And that's the bike's problems.
You should see the thumb - never mind the leg and arm (small scab on the bilbow)  doh

Did you know that there is unpaid labour used in the garage? confuse

No wonder Brian's got so much time to nurse his bruises when he has helpers to run his errands and fettle his bikes. wink

PS - My rear brake works better now thanks to your helpful wife!

Just in case anyone digs out this old thread, I should have added that the engine and running gear would have cost more to repair etc than a finished Raid is worth so I broke it up for spares.

The frame is still here with a V5 registration document if anyone is looking for a Raid project - £120 anyone? Frames with V5s are usually worth at least this to the custom bike builders so grab a bargain wink

PM me if interested.
