Hello from Brisbane Australia

Hi all,

My name is Matthew and I have a 2009 TTR250R. In 2009 after settling down in Brisbane I decided it was time to hit the trails again. My TTR has 12,000 KM on it now and has never missed a beat. I ride it work everyday and give it a hard time on the trails. My wife is starting to learn on it as well.

Regards,

Matt

Hi Matt and welcome to the forum. Lots of TTRs in Australia and I believe they are still sold there - now with black frames.

A lot of TTRs in Oz are used to herd cows and sheep. I know his because we sell most of our second-hand plastic tanks to Australia coz the originals have been smashed against trees - presumably through over-enthusiastic herding confuse

I am guessing your commute doesn't involve domestic animals wink

Hi Brian,

Talking to the Yamaha dealer today the TTR is still sold in large numbers here and used a lot for mustering. This forum is great and thank you for all your hard work.

Regards,
Matt

Hi Matt,

just joined myself. Have just picked up a 2011 TTR 250 after some guy only had it for 6 weeks and decided it was too big for him. Keen to find some places to ride and teach myself everything I have forgotton over the last 22 years. Any suggestions on where?

Welcome to you Matt, and also to BJ.
It looks likely that there will be a new branch of the forum for the Australian contingent soon.
Enjoy your "musterings" wink

Martyn
