I have had my 2003 TTR250 since 2008, prior to that my main interest has been in trials riding.
Modifications i have done include : kouba lowering link, 25mm off seat height, B&B bash plate, B&B frame protectors, Whipps carry rack, Acerbis tank - purchased with: raised Taper bars, staintune exhaust, air box snorkel removed.
Highlight of my trail and adventure riding was last year, before turning 50, i completed an 4500km adventure trip from Gladstone QLD to the tip of Australia (Cape York) and back.
Thanks, Brian - very happy with the bike, just have to plan the next big ride. Originally thought i would step up to a bigger capacity 400 or 650 bike, but the TTR250 is good for everything so far. Great effort providing/ setting up the new forum.
Cheers Greg - I think the forum will soon have enough members and contributors to be a success
My overlanding friend, Robin Webb of Salt & Gold fame, loves the TTR and has just done his second 325cc conversion which he says makes it THE perfect overlander
I must say that my own 325 kit has transformed my TTR but I am also trying the so-called 280 kit as another owner told me that made a significant difference - plus its a hell of a lot cheaper
