Day off so roadie ride
Permalink

Had the day off so after spending the morning with my wife & grand daughter I took the Thruxton out for a spin, I'm lucky as I'm only 2 minutes from the Adelaide hills roads, 130kms of twisties, this bike is so nice to ride & sounds fantastic

Was a little cold but not bad, couple of drops of rain but nothing serious, this bike will be out of rego in two weeks so I might leave it until it warms up around here.

Went from home up through Cudlee creek to Mt Torrens, Mt Pleasant across to Williamstown & back to Golden Grove, nice easy ride with bugger all traffic

Terry

Looks like a nice day you are saying its cold mid Winter I'm guessing 8-9 c you lucky so an so try it hear mid winter its going to be half that as an average so zero with the wind chill on a good day. [no doubt someone will be along from some place worse] We have been basking in 27-30 c for the last 2-3 weeks hear and not looking forward to winter the Harleys not been out this much in 5 years the lanes are a mess of brambles and 3 foot high grass so the black top an road bike till autumn looks good at this time

Our idea of cold would be much different to that in the UK, we had a high of 18c but it was overcast so without the sun it felt colder. We get used to the higher temp's 25-30c is ideal but I will ride in 40c but really don't like anything under 12c.

Today at 6.30am it was 16c with an expected high of 18c crazy weather.

Cheers Terry
