Hello, I was doing some maintenance on my ttr, when I noticed the back wheel has a lot of drag .I can spin it by hand but as soon as I stop spinning the wheel stops. Any thoughts? Thanks

Brakes dragging, chain too tight, wheel bearings.
Try without brake pads, still dragging? If so, take off chain, still dragging must be wheel bearings.

I'm guessing brakes.

How about the axle shaft dry and in need of some lubricating (film of grease) ?

The Wheel Bearing Spacer could be "dragging" abit.

Cheers

Jeff

I will try live next.
How much will your rear wheel spin?
Thanks.

Does the wheel feel "notchy" when you turn it or does it make a noise? If so, it could be a problem with a wheel bearing.

Have you tried it without the chain on as suggested earlier?

Brian

OK, Took chain and brake pads off. Spins for ever!!!. Then cleaned the chain, put everything back together. Spins better. I think the problem was I just finished doing maintenance on my sons CRF 70, and his rear wheel would spin easily. So mine felt like it was dragging.

Thanks for the input, Bike is all clean now ready to get dirty...
