Hello. I installed a new original carburettor and kickstarter does not start. Is it possible in the new carburettor that the fuel level is bad?

Hi Tom

I think the fuel level is OK.

Is the spark plug getting wet and do you have compression and a spark?

If so, it should start but, as Pete said, the kickstart is low geared and turns the engine over very slowly.

Maybe try and bump start it?

Brian

Brian-head after renovation, perfect timing, new spark spark, new piston and cylinder, very good compression, when after 20 kicks managed to run and idle alone, the candle was black and no longer fired.

A cold engine in the morning started from 2 kicks. Sucking and without gas. It warmed up, I switched off the suction, after 15 minutes I switched off the motor and did not start again. Maybe I put the piston in a bad position, I do not know how it should be in 4t. I changed candles, dry ones. But I will not give up. Big mystery. Help please!!!

Does your new carb have the correct jets in it and the needle in the correct position? Sounds like it's running rich.
There is not much you can do wrong installing the piston (unless you forgot to fit the rings, but you have good compression!!) Air filter and exhaust system all fitted correctly?

It's probably a bit rich. The cold burns very well without suction and without gas. but he drives well and has good power.
