Tanks and rear wheel spindle seizing into brake carrier

If an XR650L Acerbis tank can be adapted, does that mean so can the original?

Any other tanks worth looking into?

On another subject does anyone else have trouble with the rear wheel spindle seizing into the brake carrier?

Rich, suppose it would fit if you made up some brackets for it, as for the spindle I have not had the problem. Anyone else?

Yes I can say a xr plastic tank off a 250-400 tank will fit with some made up brackets the older the tank the better the fit 84- 90 is the best but the later ones will go as well just not fit to the seat so well as I have tried them have not tried a 600 or 650 tank. And yes Rich I do still have the Xr 250/xl but don't tell her indoors its in the back of the workshop under a cover and she has forgotten about it just keep quiet for now. I have to move it soon for some building works at home and need to stash it at a mates for a month then get it back in without her seeing or knowing as well Im just not ready to part with it yet parts on it date back to a xl my dad had back in 1978
