A fun little ride...

I have not used the TTR for a few months... so i sorted it out yesterday & today

i was off with it on the trailer for a ride.... got to the wiamak for a few hours of forestry

single track fun...

but the ride only lasted 15mins if that... got spat off into a log...

even my body armor didn't save my ribs this time.. whole right side is now

bright purple.... but the best bit was pulling the little stick out from between

my fingers... went though my glove all the way into the nuckle...

what a bugger when you can't even come off with out hurting yourself...

maybe I'm getting to old for this motorcycling thing now... or maybe I should

ride like I'm 58 not 18......I try to.. but sometimes my b_ _ _ s just take over...

..

Sorry to hear about your off Pete - hope you heal soon!

I know what you mean about the red mist descending - you only need a mate to start to race you and it's then in the lap of the gods disbelief

Hope you mend soon Pete , the saying goes it's no good getting older if you don't get any wiser , at 66 it hurts a lot more when you come a cropper so I just ride a bit slower than I used to , most of the time 😚

Bad luck on the off Pete, I think we have all been there, many a time I've said let's have a casual ride only to end up racing each other but that being said I do better riding hard than taking it easy where my mind drifts off which is how I broke my leg 11yrs ago.

Also luck of the draw on how you hit a log or hole effects the outcome, I put my riding down to sheer luck & not skill, I'm 64yrs old & know if I hit the deck it won't be good.

Speedy recovery mate, cheers Terry

Pete youre not alone. I came off the other day as well. At least id already got 3 hours in. Cracked the stator side cover and spained my ankle. Somehow, god knows. Didnt seem too bad at the time but once I got home, i couldnt walk on it. Same as you lots of purple and yellow, but at least im back walking. Things take so much more time to heal in our...more mature years!
