Ttr losing spark when warm
Permalink

So have the following issue with my bike and would appreciate any ideas and help.

The bike starts when cold and run quite happily until the engine starts to warm up at which point it dies and loses its spark. If you hold the throttle open fully it will run but as soon as you close the throttle back to idle or bear idle it'l run for 2/3mins and then die. Have removed the plug when this happens and it no longer sparks.

Once it's cooled down it' starts up again and repairs this.

Have tried different plugs, could, rectifier and cdi units and nothing has changed it.

Cheers for any help in advance.

Jordan

So finally found the culprit. One of the mag pick up wires was worn through after a previous owner hadn't clamped the wiring in the correct place.
Cheers for all your help
