Hi all just a quick question I've noticed on my oe that someone has run a cable from the battery negative to an watching point on the frame. I' fairly sure that isn't standard and just wondering if anyone on here knows what effect it may have on the battery if any.

Could it be an attachment for a battery charger/top up by any chance?  confuse

I put a lead on my TTR from both terminals and attached an Optimate charger for when I didn't use the bike. It meant an instant response for starter cranking. smile

I fitted one to each of my bikes.

No it's wired up to the top battery box mount point like an earth.
Just don't know what affect that'll have on the electrics and battery

Just sounds like someone has fitted an extra earth lead , won't have any affect on battery or wiring ,
