Carburettor Boot from airbox to carb
Permalink

Hi all, i have a 2007 ttr 250, ive removed the airbox for cleaning and the little box that is siliconed on the caburettor/airbox boot was all split around the silicone and taking dust. i have removed the box and it had bits of old silicone sediments etc.., question i need answered, does the ttr need this box on to run properly? can the hole where it sits just be plugged?

Hi Nathan and welcome to the forum!

The resonator or boost bottle seems to be a "good thing" so best try and fix it if you can - see http://ttr250.activeboard.com/t51169250/yamaha-energy-induction-system-yeis-boost-bottle-air-chamber/  for more info wink

I have but it was a long time ago and can't recall any particular problems.

What particular issue do you have in refitting yours?

I guess you just have to make sure that you have cleaned off all the old sealer and use some fresh to put it back on.

This is the only photo I could find but I must have done the job!

Tried warming it up with a hair dryer to make it more pliable?
