Great find shad,
That is a good article

I take the camelbak and a Kelly enduro bumbag as pictured in the article. Although as I'm getting older I'm definitely carrying less stuff (less weight).

I like the look of those Ogio flight vests I've seen a few guys run these.

I am actually going to get the Aussie Zac Speed set up with their smallest hydration pack with the front armour, and swap the armour for their octane vest for carrying capacity on bigger rides.

And I can recommend the RHK titanium tyre levers/axle spanners, they weigh bugger all.

i myself rride with a dririder adventure jacket a few years old now but has a slip along the spine guard for my water bladder had heaps of pockets aswell also has a large pocket on the back underneath the bladder slip that acts like a bum bag im going to put a bag on the back guard for any extra things aswell.

ive had some nasty offs while wearing it and not major damage to me or the jacket

Hi Shad,

I can vouch for the Dririder Jacket living up to their name as I recently had to ride through horizontal rain and some hail and the Jacket kept me perfectly dry up top.

I'm sure the Dririder has saved me from several injuries as well, with its padding in the right places.

My first major "off" taught me alot. Don't put your hands out to cushion the fall, just keep them on the handlebars and go down with the bike as the handguards etc will protect your hands. Putting your hands out is likely to break or badly strain a wrist. My bike actually came down on top of me but the Dririder can't be expected to save you from that scenario !

Cheers

Jeff

haha yeah i learnt the no hands to save you rule when i came off really badly when i was little just had a rock blocker then easter sunday and as any kid i ate all my choc eggs in the morning before the ride... lucky i got my helm off before i made it unwearable bars were bent into the tank and bike flipped about 4 times wasnt super fun still not a broken bone just a gash on my elbow.

Im so used to wearing the dri rider now its effectively my raincoat haha with the waterproof lining that is removable makes life a breeze dont really ride the bike without it now.

my last big off was on a hill the front wheel caught a root or somthing in the deep shale went sideways, i went over the bars and bike came down on top of me i had a good look out of my one eye that could see my chain in front of my face spinning nicely lol was nothing wrong with it im proud to say haha, big gnarly gash on my brand new helmet that was like days old still no breaks and only a slight bruise on my ribs from the bikes weight coming down, Dri rider saved me there i reckon.
