Good morning from Japan

Joined a while ago, thought I would finally say hi!

I've got an old '94 raid.  She has been through the mill.  I am the 4th owner.  She's been rear ended, dropped, drowned in rivers, stuck in rivers and thrashed on the mx course.  The raid is a bit tired.  At 50,000 km she is just begging for some attention.  Starting in January she is gonna get it!  All round LED lights, 325 big bore kit, suspension rebuild and some other accessories to get her ready for a round the world trip.  The goal is to stay away from pavement.  I'm getting tracks from Magadan in Eastern Russia all the way to Poland!

I will start a thread somewhere about the build.

Cheers,

Michael in Japan

Welcome to the forum Michael!

Good to have you on board.

Are genuine Yamaha parts easy to obtain in Japan and do you have access to after-market parts that perhaps aren't sold outside your country?

Also, when were the last new TTRs sold in Japan?

Sorry for all the questions cry

Brian

Steve, yup that's me!

Brian, I've had no problem ordering parts. There are also lots of aftermarket parts around and used goodies. No ideas when the last TTRs were sold here. I'll ask next time I'm at the yamaha shop! Which should be soon. I'm gonna try and fit an Xt250 rear rim on my bike. Tublessssssssss!
