Good Morning from a Rookie.

Hello Everyone. Just this minute joined! Having recently moved from Sussex to Devon, looking forward to exploring the Devon Lanes and beyond. Been trail riding for a few years on larger bikes, XT660R and currently a TT600RE. Not being an off road god, I take regular dirt naps and being just the wrong side of 50 have decided to get something easier to pick up  Having ridden a few times in The Peak District from Haggs Bank Bunkhouse and been seriously impressed with the smaller TTR, an OE,  I cannot wait to downsize. Sad to sell 'Baldrick' but simply don't need the road capability of the bigger engine anymore. Looking forward to being part of the group.

Welcome, Stringy.

I agree that 660 and 600cc bikes are OK on tarmac but a tad unwieldy on the rough stuff, especially the Devon rough stuff. disbeliefbiggrin

Good luck in sourcing a decent example of TTR.

Martyn

Welcome to the forum, and also to Devon - spiritual home of the TTR250!
Ride safe and watch out for Devonshire Badgers, they like to grab your front wheel!

Hi peeps. I failed to find a TTR for the right money and was biding my time when, a friend offered me a DRZ400E at a very good price. It's a low miles and very very clean bike. So I bought it. So obviously wont be contributing to this forum but I just wanted to say thank you for the welcome I received. I have now joined the Devon TRF so may see some you out on the trails. TTFN.
