hi guys , i went for a ride on the weekend , went great , pulled it of the ute and washed it , then it wouldn't start , it tried and turns over just , thought it was the battery so i put it on the charger , showed charge , so i pulled it an tried to start it , solinoud clicks and growls like it wants to turn over , iv been going through the connections cleaning them  , wondering if anyone can suggest anything else ?

I can't help thinking it is a battery problem.

Have you tried using jump leads with a known good battery?

Have you tried shorting the solenoid terminals to take a possible faulty solenoid out of the equation?

Does the engine turn over at all on the starter?

If yes to the first two questions then it may be starter brushes.....

Brian

When my brushes were nearly gone, the solenoid clicked and starter did not spin. Rocked in gear then starter spun. Replaced brushes from Steve and all been fine since.

Did the TTR start OK on the new battery?
