Hi guys , just wondering I if any of you have done this Iv been playing with the idea of motarding my ttr for on road handeling an to Lower seat hight  , but dont want to lose all the off road capability , so whrn looking around I found a couple of ideas , first was change the rims to a 19"-17" configuration which I supost to be good , also I read a couple of post that did a rear rim to front conversation 18"-18"  on a xt , has anyone done ether of these , or a combo of both l 18"-17" ( I do like TW's OK) which Is where I'm leaning , this will probably b a was off if at all . also what's your thoughts on aluminum rims , durability , economy , performance. Any info would be greatly appreciated

I WOULDNT EVEN WORRY ABOUT ENGINE RELIABILITY AND FRAME DAMAGE THIS BIKE IS BULLET PROOF MAYBE BRACING AND STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY MODS WOULD HELP

NEVER USE OEM BOLTS JUST GO TO LOWES 4 BOLTS OR USE GENUINE YAMAHA BOLTS!!!!

OEM bolts are genuine Yamaha bolts...

if it was a Honda... OEM bolts would be Genuine Honda bolts...

if it was a Suzuki... OEM bolts would be Genuine Suzuki bolts...

if it was a Kawasaki... OEM bolts could be Genuine Kawasaki or Suzuki bolts depending on what model Kawasaki it is...

When you say "off road capability" Do you mean full on dirt bike mode or you just after something that can take fire trails and dirt roads?

If the later than just relace your hubs to 17" rims and run DS tyres.
