Side Stand

Hi all,

I've just put my 1986 TT250R back to it's original height after the previous owner had it lowered.

Now the side stand seems a bit short and the bike is really leaning over hard. Has anyone experienced anything similar, is there a longer option available do you know?

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Also, I often stand on the left footpeg whilst on the sidestand and swing my leg over to climb aboard - as it's easier than swinging my leg over, does anyone else climb on that way? clearly I can't do this now the bike has a much more severe lean angle.

Cheers :)

Mat.

My guess is the PO had the standard sidestand shortened so you can either get a good used TTR standard sidestand or have your lengthened. Might be worth asking Steve if he has one.

Yes, I mount my TTR using the footpeg. Bit like putting your foot in the stirrup to mount a horse wink
