Two TTR's for sale
Permalink

HI I have been looking through my garage and decided that i need to move on some of my toys. Amongst them I have two TTR 250.

One is a 1993/4 Raid in the popular white and blue colour scheme with off road tyre metal number plate etc ready to off road

The second one being an all 2001 black model which has road tyres fitted . Both bike are in fairly good condition.

Sadly they are just not being used 2014 was the last time i used the Raid. When I broke my wrist in a bicycle accident and find riding very painful even some three years later

I think its time to find them a new home.

If any of the TTR owners are interested in them please feel free to contact me on 07841 044702.

If any one has a rough idea of what they are worth I would be grateful for that info.

Mileage will be low. I could get them Mot if someone wants them to be tested otherwise take them away as is.

HI Guys here are some photos I dug the bikes out today from the back of the garage. I have been asked about mileage etc the black one with road tyres and done 15,000 plus and the older white and blue one at the last mot 11294 so both low mileage bikes, neither has been ridden since 2014.

I don't think you will struggle selling either of those bikes, especially the black ttr, it must be one of those bikes you look at then once it is sold you regret not buying, first one I have seen for sale, if I had anymore room It would have been in my garage by now! Good luck with sale (not that you will need it).

Hi I bought the bike from the main agent in Douglas Isle of man when I worked over there and used it to potter around . Ive hit a slight snag though I cant find the key. Ive rung a colleague in the isle of man to see if he has the spare otherwise its off to yamaha for me. It been interesting as when i have looked at the log book there is no previous owners. Which i found strange then i found an old uk reg for the bike which said it was manufactured in 1996  with the date of first registration 2001  then registered in the Iom in 2004.

Sadly I have had no serious takers at the minute which i have  found surprising as we know they are not making these any more and to find low mileage examples is rare. I will just sit on them till the right person come along . Thanks to all who have show interest Paul

How much do you want for the raid please? I had one a while back and promised myself that I would have another.

Surely that's an Open Enduro with a Raid headlight? OE tank, seat and plastics certainly. Nothing wrong with that of course

It looks like an OE with a Raid headlight and Oil cooler. Raids have black shocks and steel swing arms unless upgraded.

Also doesn't have the Raid sump guard.

HI Peter Im open to offers, the white bike is getting all sorts of comment re is it a raid is it not a raid, my honest answer is I dont know, apparently it has some raid parts and some open enduro parts. which it started life at I'm sorry i cannot tell. Your very welcome to come and have a look

Hi Mullsy

The white TTR is, IMHO, definitely an Open Enduro.

The frame, seat, tank, yellow shock with an adjuster knob on the reservoir, alloy swingarm, position and style of rear footpegs and side panels all say Open Enduro.

So the headlight from a Raid is an excellent upgrade - the big glass lens allowing a high wattage bulb to be fitted wink

It's a really nice looking TTR biggrinbiggrin
