The leak you have is the decompressor plug, easy fix. As for the stud, you will need to get it helicoiled or re tapped, this should be easy for you or a mechanic to do.

The best option for the header stud is to helicoil it - you drill it out and fit a threaded insert in:

www.bollhoff-armstrong.co.uk/en/uk-bal/helicoil-threaded-inserts/product-types-of-helicoil/thread-insert-helicoil-classic.php

I'm sure there will be a version of this in the States.

Totally ttrs sell a plug for the decomp. hole

totallyttrs.com/epages/699105d9-e4cc-4b32-b236-84e72cd67f84.sf/en_GB/

or you could try a frost core plug from a local motor parts store.

Good luck,

Simon.

Welcome to the forum, by the way!

Most likely the ally stuck in the thread of the stud. Got to be worth trying a helicoil before you buy a new head??? I've fitted a few without problems.
