So I stacked it....

On the Rd near Eildon between the boat ramp and town. Hit the bitumen at around 50kph after hitting a patch of oil or fuel. Didn't even see it coming. No warning, no time to react. Just bam. And I'm sliding off the road in a nice slow horizontal pirouette no

Foot peg and handlebar took the brunt. Fork is scratched. Bark busters rooted, handlebars and so is the rear rack I got from the UK. Half my kickstand foot has been ground off too evileye

Wrecked my brand new gloves on their first run, tore my jacket and pants and scuffed up my tech 6 alpines. Not a mark on me though which is nice. ATGATT folks is all I will say wink

Getting insurance involved to try and get my riding gear covered. Hope they don't write the little beasty off as she's got brand new chain and sprocket and tyres.

And no it wasn't the new tyres causing the fall. wink I wasn't going quick and was only slightly leant over. Maybe 20 degrees. It's a bummer. So have to get the bike to my mechanic this week to get assessed. And have to photograph my gear etc. God insurance claims are dull.

Anyway at least I'm fine. New gloves surfed the bitumen well. But they're stuffed now. Keep it the right way up.

Photos soon.

bugger , sounds like everything worked well and looked after you .hope the ttr makes a return .

I parted company from the TTR a couple of weeks ago  the good old slippery log at an angle in grass , with out notice the bike just wasn't  there like your off  . took the tumble ok dirt and grass (still a bit sore ) , turned around and took a while to find the ttr which had exited stage right down over a bank into a small creek with just a few new scratches .

Dropped the beasty in today - getting the bars, barkbusters, axle bolt, foot peg and kickstand replaced at this stage. Not a big deal bike-wise. The gear is another story as I'll need to replace it all. Might be able to fix my boots but my gloves, jacket and pants are gone.

I am impressed though as I've finally managed to bend a pair of rental handlebars! Must've been some force involved as I haven't done that before with the 5 or so sets I've used in the past (and crashed with biggrin)

Hi Chris

Bad luck and I'm glad you are alright. Hope the insurance pays in full.

Steve
