The gas tank V/S vinyl

I thought it was just me but I've been seeing lots of TTR 250s with the bubbling vinyl on their gas tanks. I have used four different types of vinyl and still had this issue. It appears that the 250 is more susceptible to gas fumes permeating the tank and bubbling the vinyl than  any of the other bikes I've ever had.  I have used rubberized vinyl as well as the plastic style that is thinner and more hard and all of them eventually bubble up from the gas tank fumes pushing through the plastic. Has anyone ever used a sealant on their gas tank to see if you can force them to go out the vent instead?

I think the only answer is perforated decals.

Common issue - see http://ttr250.activeboard.com/t50576289/bubbling-decals/

Makes sense. Ill run a metal pizza perforator over it.
