Hi there,

This may be a stupid question but if i try starting the bike up in gear with the clutch engaged the bike wont fire. Has anyone got any idea how to sort this? Im hoping its a quick fix.

Thanks

if the neutral light is coming on , the neutral switch is ok , next to check is the clutch switch . not uncommon to fill up with Gunk .

Side stand switch, I had the same issue last year, just sprayed the side stand switch with DW40 & it's been working ever since

up in the Flinders last year I had the same problem, had to select neutral to start, not a good feeling on the off camber hills we were on.

Ground the neutral switch out to the frame with a slave wire this will eliminate if it is the switch but if u have a neutral light like already said it probably not the problem .You could try looping the wire in stand switch to give u a circuit to eliminate the stand switch function both these quick solutions should highlight problem area .
