Got a request for a photo of my swing arm grease nipple .couldn't send it as a pm so posting it biggrin might be my new phone

Another photo of a swingarm grease nipple. It doesn't look as accessible as yours Les!

To the very best of my knowledge no TTRs were fitted with a grease nipple on the headstock from the factory. Any found will be retrofitted by the owner. A good idea to keep the head races/bearings in good shape although it takes a lot of grease to fill up the space! It is surprising what comes out when you give a couple of pumps after a power wash  wink

hi brian is the headstock blocked off to the frame so that your not filling the frame

I just marked the spot with a marker before I pulled the swing arm out

It must be John - but I haven't got a frame here to double check.

I have seen enough done to assume it is blocked off.

One thing to check is that the rubber plug is fitted to the centre shaft of the yokes under the bars. Made a right mess with my brothers TTR until we realised why it was taking so much grease disbelief

There are no holes from the headstock into the framesmile

many thanks steve time for a grease nipple ill look for robber cant understand how grease can get to inside of hollow tube where the nut tightens on to top yoke

the steering head would hold half a tube of grease... what a mess when yer take it apart..
