A rare opportunity to buy my Yamaha TTR250 trail bike!

Reliable and economical 250cc four stroke with 6 gears - the perfect dual purpose commuter/trail bike.

Image1.jpg    Image2.jpg

                                        Image3.jpg

First registered in May 2000. MOT until May 2017 and taxed to the end of May 2017.

7,400 miles ONLY!

An excellent example of this sought-after bike which is ready for the lanes.

CRD bashplate and frame guards, Acerbis Bark Buster handguards, Renthal bars and grips,

Pirelli MT43 rear tyre and Michelin Enduro Comp IV front.

Geared for Devon lanes (14/52 with O ring chain) but is still plenty fast enough on the road.

Excellent lights for those evening trails plus a good safety feature - full-size indicators that can be seen by other motorists!

An after-market headlight switch has been fitted because I don't like the Japanese style of the headlight being on all the time.

It has a much sought after 6-digit registration number which would allow a much smaller number plate to be made whilst keeping legal-size digits.

Starts and runs well - as to be expected.

·         Dual start - electric AND kickstart

·         Proper ignition switch (unlike many enduro bikes) with steering lock - spare key.

·         Fully adjustable suspension front and rear to suit your riding style

Suitable for someone who has passed the A2 since it has less than 33 kW.

Lots of information on this very popular and sought after bike at www.ttr250.com

There is also a very active owners group at http://ttr250.activeboard.com//

Very economical and will do a day's trail riding on a tank of petrol. Plus it has an "all-day" comfy seat unlike more enduro-based machines.

Perfect beginner's trail bike but also suitable for the more experienced rider who realises that it isn't necessary to have a big engine to enjoy themselves on Devon's technical lanes.

There are lots of cheaper TTRs around but the choice is yours. This one is VERY special - you wouldn't be disappointed wink

BARGAIN at only £1,500 o.n.o.

Martyn, the Cub was the start of the sale.  hmm

I found increasing difficulty in gear changing. Mr right ankle wouldn't change the gears. I sold it in May 2013.

My Bandit 1200 was next because I was like an accident looking for somewhere to happen. It was too heavy, especially when leaning to the right. I sold it in January 2016.

After my stay in Woford    mid Sept. to mid Oct. 2016, I was discharged with no ability to walk - I haven't driven a car or motorbike since. disbeliefno

Now it's the turn of my TTR, sadly.

I am keeping my 1926 BSA and my 1955 T100 - they're my heirlooms.

Well, she's gone to Somerset to give pleasure to her new owner.

A sad day for me but smiles all round as we waved goodbye.

Boo-hoo

I am not going anywhere, don't worry.

I've just got rid of three bikes. I've got two left, but they are show pieces and heirlooms.

After 54 years of riding bikes I've had to stop - but I'm not giving up my computer, photography, beer drinking and getting around, YET. biggrin
