I bought carb on ebay and was cleaning it.

While cleaning I noticed there is a hole see pictures. Should it be like this or is it missing some part? I hope not :)

Hi, i just had quick look at a spare carb that i have and the same hole is in it and i never removed anything from that part of the carb to the best of my knowledge and i had it in the bike and running at one stage.

John.

I confess that I hadn't noticed it before! My guess is that it is a breather as quite a bit of air needs to move when the throttle slide goes up and down smile

Brian's close .yes it allows air to move as the slide moves also equalises the air presure reducing drag /sticking
