Hi all,

I saw on Steve's site the short headerpipe, who has one and what is your experience with it?

power increase?

Other sound? ( hope not)

Temp. change? ( as far as you can tell)

Worth the money?

My recollection is that a lot of TTR tuning was going on in Australia back in the day with TTR250s winning their class in the national enduro championships.

There was an article that reported the results of dyno testing various header pipes. It was found that the TTR lost power with bigger diameter headers but gained power with a shorter header pipe.

CRD must have been involved in the development of the TTR shorty header as they manufactured and sold CRD-made shorty pipes. These are very rare now but I happen to have one. The dimensions and design of the Totally TTRs shorty header are very close to that of the CRD.

Before fitting mine i already had an aftermarket silencer, rejetted and airbox mods. I didnt notice any difference when i added the shorter header pipe. But may be different without other mods.
I think it suits the bike better than the standard header and less likely to get damaged.

I think the shorty header helps with the flow and seems to have that little bit of extra punch! This is not a bolt on and wooohoo sort of thing, but adds that little bit of grin factorsmile

Is a really nice looking bit of kit, no noise increase, no heat increase, just all positive.smile I have it on my bikesmile

Johny hermes can be a pain on oversea heavy stuff, but if it weighs to much for royal mail, tis the next best thing.
