As it's going to be 41-42c here today in South Australia (36c at 10am) a bit of blue bike TLC   TTR got oil & filter, air cleaner, new short brake lever & if I feel like it on a hot day change both tyres & change the gearing.

The WRR is only getting a look over after playing in the seaweed last weekend

Looking good a good days work servicing the ttr us almost as good as riding it 

Looks like a coolish spot to work my sheds been hitting 52deg inside so the ttr has been slow cooking by it's self 

It's cooler today so going out early tomorrow

Hit 42c here today, was pretty bloody hot when I was changing tyres, D606 rear is a pain.

So I did the gearing & tyres & a quick clean for both the WRR & TTR

This bike was build in 2011 but sold in 2013, I think Australia may have had the last of the TTR's, what was the last sold in the UK

 you maybe right....

last yer the yamaha shop here had a new 2010 on the floor....

also theres no XT660 here between 2009 & 2014 took that

long to sell the 2009 shipment...

That is one nice looking stable. My next TTR will be a black frame one. If I ever properly wear this one out!

the TTR has 14k on the clock bought new in 2013

the WRR has 2.5k bought new in 2016

The Triumph Scrambler has 74k bought 2nd hand in 2008 with 10k

The Triumph Thruxton has 44k bought 2nd hand in 2012 with 10k

Pretty good collection & very lucky

This is a black/white picture of a PROPER Triumph

It's a 1955 T100 which I've had for a mere 53 years.

I recently repainted and renovated its appearance because it was looking a bit shabby next to my TTR. wink

 Very nice, I have thought of buying a old Triumph but don't think I could get away with it, I think the two Triumph's & two Yamaha's is my limit...past my limit but the wife of 40yrs let me away with it because I looked after her when she was sick last year, she was in shock I think.

My mate has a Triumph Scrambler & a TTR plus around 6 BSA's including a 350 B31, 350 Goldie, A65 Lighting, 600 Single, 500 twin & a 1933 350 single...sorry don't know the models.

And yes, the modern Givi top box is a travesty but the only classic looking alternative I can find is £180 no

That looks gorgeous, Brian.     

The wetness sets off it's beauty. smile

I have a present for you - a photocopy of the original BSA factory service sheets for the 500 & 650 OHV Twins, A group with swinging arm.

In my last job we had an A4 double sided copier and ring binder and I took the liberty of doing a selection of BSA, Triumph, Royal Enfield and Vincent manuals.

This one has 96 pages in it with all the details/descriptions you could wish for in the upkeep of the/your model.

There's also another book of "Fast Bikes" by Roland Brown that I have two copies of!.

A tad heavy to post so I'll keep them close for next time we meet........ wink

Thanks Martyn - sounds excellent!

It is in many pieces at the moment awaiting a magneto rebuild and a dynamo 6 to 12v upgrade. It seems to spend more time being laid up awaiting parts than being ridden but, hey, that's the fun of owning an old Brit bike - that and having to have a large drip tray to catch the leaking oil  biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

I wish there was an equivalent to Totally TTRs for the beast though. Very frustrating getting parts from different suppliers. Most new parts on offer are aftermarket and made in India. So far I have had a dud folding kickstart and inner clutch basket so clearly the sellers aren't testing and using the parts on their own bikes as per Totally TTRs   no

nice bike my dad had one and sold in the mid 60's for a tenner what would it be worth now dizzy.gif
