Well wife gave me a card yesterday & it said ÿou can keep the Yammie" I was under instructions to sell the TTR after buying the WRR you little ripper, didn't want to sell it & the TTR & WRR are the perfect pair as well as the other pair of Triumphs twins.

Was working toward that plan & returning the TTR to it's previous state, refitted bash plate, exhaust, barkbusters, exhaust, enduro mirrors, seat strap removed as well as other crap for ADR's

Only things left are to swap the tyres back & change the gearing, I sold the B&B rack so thats out of the question but I never liked it anyhow.

'The TTR & WRR are a bit like my Triumphs, one is a hoon bike & the other is a ride at your own pace sort of bike.

TTR carby & ride at your own pace

WRR efi & ride hard, hoon bike

Scrambler, carby & ride at your own pace...cool bike

Thruxton, efi cafe racer, hoon bike n the twisties

Well that's my thoughts on the four bikes, of course everyones ideas could be different

Cheers Terry

I would love to keep my TTR but I can see it just becoming a big blue trophy

Never been into trophy's so I will be saying solong and thanks for all the fish soon

Anyone in Sydney region looking for a good one ?

biggrin

Having said that you never know what the future holds after you guys have tested and have the TTR350 project going

there may be another one in the future somewhere

ATM I love my new DRZ

Having owned a XR400 & ridden DRZ400's I understand, the DRZ400 & XR400 are pretty close in performance but the TTR is just lacking a little HP, hence me buying a WRR which I love.

As you may have seen on some of my videos we get up to 4 DRZ400's on the rides but both of my Yamaha's can hold their own but mainly rider

I have returned the TTR back to where it was prior to getting the WRR but have not ridden it so time will tell & perhaps I might turn it into a TT350R....that would be ideal

I found the same with my TTR, keeps up with the DRZ's and DR's, except on the road, don't care about that anyway.

But Dr zed if fun, came hard out of a corner the other day, lots of throttle and the front wheel came up in the middle of the corner, FUN biggrin

another thing I noticed is the DRZ doesn't really feel any heavier than the TTR, although it does have a Lithium battery ATM and a light weight aluminum exhaust system

I think it shed over 5kg just there, you know the mirrors weigh a couple in at 900grams and all the other useless brackets, that's all gone now, I would say close to 10kg all up

then I went and put a 17l safari tank on and some nice big Pivot Pegs, the Safari's hold close to 20l though, so add 8kg of fuel back for the first 200klm

It's going to be good though with 20l of premium unleaded I should be able to get nearly 500kl from a tank

Oh well loose some get some back biggrin

No kick starter though, so I'm going to wire in a charge/jumper cable setup as a backup.

Glad you didn't have to make the sacrifice that was asked of you. Maybe it was a test
Be patient, we're working on the 350! Awaiting casting patterns...
Ride safe,
Simon.

Unfortunatelly the TTR has to go, I have a nice young filly now rearing to go

But I'll be keeping a very close eye on the Big Bore Project

I think you should make a dedicated post and make it a sticky

How about a nice acronym, should appeal to our American friends, something nice and simple like:

T.T.T.R.B.B.P. wink

On a weather note I won't be riding much for a week or more, the temperatures are hot and disgustingly humid

Cheers all

I always think I should buy one of these new fantesy pants motor bikes...
Yeasterday I went and rode a few single track forestry trails , then yer wonder why yer
want another bike , it just goes so well... with it striped down only weighs 112kgs empty..
got home washed it oiled/adjusted the chain... put the solar charger on it
Put it away , no need to turn a bolt on it till the next ride..
Will be keeping it for a while I think...

never could figger out why they wern't a lot more popular... very under rated bike...
