The longest off road you have ridden?

I want to know to add it to my bucket listsmilesmile

What is the longest lane (off road) that you have??

I have rode for 18 miles on a beach in Ireland with my mate Garry, though we did have to cross a small bit of tarmac, due to rock fallcry

These ones did not stop usbiggrinbiggrin

We really did get across them! The bash plates were much neededwink So you can imagine what the big ones were like.

So what have you got???

right at the top of NZ theres "90 mile beach."... but it's only 70 miles or so long..
but other than a beach the longest true off road ride would be about 40 odd km....

but theres a few gnarly 4WD type tracks up to 100km  distances...

Been to NZ twice, great place & very different to Australia.  In fact I did a quad ride & would love to ride a solo there.  Hilly & green just lovely, Australia on the other hand has huge differences from state to state, SA flat & brown, Vic has the high country, NSW has the Blue mtns, Queensland has Cape York & North Queensland.

Both worth a visit

Cheers Terry

My regular weekend ride around Eildon is about 50kms of dirt without crossing bitumen. I reckon you could do around 100km without looping around too much near me before you had to cross a bitumen road.

Out in West Oz you could do 1500kms at least without hitting a bitumen road nearly all over the state. Ive done that in my 4wd. We did a trip around Oz in my defender with 90% on dirt and that was 45,000kms over 18 month.

The Old Shaftesbury drove is pretty long, my guess is 15 miles.
Also the Perimeter road on Salisbury Plain is fairly long.

Barmouth Mountain Byway in Wales takes a bit of time to complete too!
