Fuel on float bowl
Permalink

I have noticed a few times when the fuel is left on over night on the bike I get a weep of fuel on the hole which is at the bottom of the float bowl where you would drain the fuel out once the drain screw was undone....I don't no why this would be surely there is nothing there to wear out?

No O ring - just sealed by the taper - see photo here.

I notice this doesn't happen when I turn the fuel off, I don't no how it would come out of there although I have just nipped the screw up is there a spring in there?

A new drain screw comes with a spring as you can see in the link I posted but the originals did not have one. I can't see it is needed.

Take the drain screw out and check that the taper isn't damaged and is perfectly round. Otherwise replace.
