fully synthetic oil in the ttr?

My old man had a box of motul 7100 10w40 leak through his truck today and the company told him to throw it out but he decided to pass it on to me (thank's mate). There are 16 litres of this stuff and I was curious if it was fine to use in the ttr? It's coming into summer here in Australia and it can average around 35 degrees c here on a normal day and was curious if it'd be fine? Sorry if this is an old topic!

I'd love to use it because this stuff is over $100 at the bike shop per 4lt bottle and it'd be a shame to not use it.

thanks

(I seem to be posting in here regularly with these silly questions but I know you guys know these bikes better than most)

Don't see why not, it's a motorbike specific oil. I'd use it!

Should be fine. I've always used a semisynth in my 325, and on long highway runs it burns a bit (not visibly but the level drops). I used a Repsol synthetic on my way back from a trip to Spain this summer and the level didn't change, so apart from running-in, I'm going to use it regularly.
16 litres should keep you going for a while!

DRZ facebook page with the same question

Full synthetic is good, typically 15/50

some others use Motul 10/40 as well

Fully synthetic gets goes to thin in air cooled bikes as they run hotter, I always use a good usually putoline 10w/40 semi synthetic and never had a problem
