Thanks for this forum. I have just purchased a 2002 TTR250 and have spent the last weeks doing her up.

I plan to do trail / adventure riding and therefor have heaps of questions.

I live in Barwite, Victoria, Australia at the base of the Aussie Alps (Near Mansfield / Mt Buller). There is 100's of KM of trails (probably 1000's of KM) and I'm keep to get out into them.

I got the TTR after much thought. I have had bigger bikes in the past, and found them to be under used (allot of power, heavy, big). A smaller, lighter, reliable bike is what I am going to try this time = TTR250.

I will read what is already on the forum first and then perhaps ask some other questions.

Cheers all, and thank again for the forum.

Hi and welcome

It's great riding down that way just a bit far from my place for a weekend ride

With good tires and regular servicing the ttr may not be the fastest bike but defiantly the most capable bike out there .

Basicly good cheap fun enjoy

Welcome wink This is a great site with heaps of info and you'll find lots of like minded folks.

I'm not that far from you - I'm in Alexandra. You're right, there is heaps of good riding around here. I love the Eildon-Jamieson road and the trails off it for some great dual sporting.

Thanks for your reply.

The bike is getting a new set of bottom linkage bearings, new chain, front and rear sprockets and a number plate display.

Once I get this back and register it, ill be on the road and asking for some riding advice.

Cheers
