Sadly not Pete. Haven't been out for ages cry

Also, haven't done anything of even vague interest in the garage so nothing to post up on the repair and maintenance front.

All a bit odd for me after years of seemingly frenetic TTR250 activity no

School holidays in Oz so most people are away or doing kids stuff. We are holidaying with friends with school aged kids. Ours are still too little for school. Might be the reason no Aussies are posting. My beastie is asleep with the battery tender on it and a bike cover over it.

Maybe a ride next weekend. One can live in hope wink

Update on mine, changed from 14/44 gearing to 13/44, was ok, today i went 13/50 with a new chain and dont like it! going to try the original 14 front and try 14/50, if i still dont like it ill try a smaller rear sprocket again.

On the plus side the TTR passed the mot 2 weeks ago with no advisories.

What you doing with the TTR Garry? Most green lanners use 13/48 or 14/52    65 max on the road and great in the lanes

14/44 is standard gearing, what difference did the 13/44 make?

The TTR is used mainly off road, but i need to ride on the road to get there, i got used to 13/44 but thought id try a larger rear for a bit more slow control, 13/44 makes the bike rideable and being able to use 6th gear,I may re fit the 14t front and try 14/50, wont be for a week or so, i done my back in at work today :(

Cheers, i'll order a 48 on Friday and swap it over, i fitted a new chain to, but needs 1 more link taken out, will get it all done when fitting the new sprocket.

Odd, i could lift the wheel with the standard 14/44 gearing, even easier with 13/44.

True, being 11 stone and a mountain biker helps me fling the TTR about.
