Hi guys and gals

I'm looking for some information on the u.s ttr250. I have a 2006 registered import I've owned the bike for the past few years doing some mods along the way. The time has come for me to SELL I'd like to know if these bike are rare and what sort of prices there fetching ? as I can't find any up for sale i have no comparisons. I'm not 100% but I belive there were only 390 ish imported.????? The bike has had plenty of maintenance with parts always brought from brian/Trish at totally ttr a new exhaust shorty header with pro circuit tailpipe works really well together. Comes with standard exhaust and other spare parts sprockets, brand new in packet cluch cable ect... if you can help or you're interested any feedback would be appreciated

thanks Adam.

Hi Adam

Is 2006 the year the TTR was registered in the UK upon its import from the US?

Does it say on the V5C when the TTR was manufactured? The DVLA usually require a certificate to show that date before they will register it.

There are some differences between the US and UK/Euro models such as the US version being electric start only.

Brian

Thanks for the reply I believe my ttr250 was manufactured in 2006 also. Your correct it only has electric start and no indication lights no rear foot peg. Would this effect the price at all ? What the going rates

The only sure way to tell date of manufacture is to run the frame number past Yamaha.

Regarding value, you need to look at what TTR250s have been selling for to get an idea of what to ask for yours.

Blue TTRs have been selling for between £1,400 and £2,000 on eBay UK.

Mechanical condition (sprag, timing chain, smoking?, clutch, bearings, etc) is the most important factor but visuals are also important to get a prospective buyer interested.

Be totally honest in your advert regarding mileage, work done or needed, etc. and mention it is a US model with no kickstart.

I hope that helps.

Brian

PS There is nothing on your profile about your location. I am not asking members to put a detailed address but at the minimum your country and a nearby town would be good - same applies to a lot of other members cry
