Hello,

I have just brought a 92 Open Enduro ex enduro racer today, pretty untidy at the moment not that matters to me!

over the next few weeks i'll re-register it, replace sprag clutch (which is broken), put new piston ring in, repaint the frame and send it for its mot.

I intend to ride it to Australia in 3 to 4 years, hopefully I'll feel its the right tool for the job!

Dan

Sounds like a familiar description. EBay in Milton Keynes? If so it has the reg mark but lost V5. Should be a post office job...
Ps was tempted...

Thanks guys, yes that's the one, I was planning on getting a decent one with minimum work straight off for 1500 odd but couldn't resist a local project!

Welcome to the forum biggrin

What an adventure you have planned!

Lots of time to check out what needs doing and fettle it up for the trip.

Check the usual - linkage and swingarm bearings, sprag clutch, wheel bearings, steering head bearings, starter pinion and gears, etc. The MOT will identify any immediate issues with the running gear and lights.

Probably best to leave it until later to strip the engine and refurbish the head, fit new rings or rebore, etc. so that the engine is fresh for the journey.

Brian
