I run D606, 120/90/18 and it has only 2cm of space either side

Dunlop recommend 2.50 rims size, I think you may be pushing it, be interested to see though

See http://ttr250.activeboard.com/t62162535/3-wide-rear-rim-on-a-ttr250/ and http://ttr250.activeboard.com/t45336900/which-tyre-size/

However, I think the tyre size that Robin used equates to 130 and not 140.

I am running a brand new AC10. 120/90/18. It fits fine. It doesnt rub the mudflap. Thats with a 106link chain and 44/14 sprockets.....

What I want to know though is....If a change to 52/14 and increase the chain length will the 120/90/18 still fit?

I mean it fits with a shorter chain and 44/14 gearing. I guess it should do right as I am not doing anything different?

I'm running a 130/80 x 18 Mitas 644 Army special. It worked with 14/52 gearing, but I couldn't get away with a 140, especially with a taller aspect ratio (90 or 100) as it almost touches the chain guard as it is. A 120 width should be fine.
