What can be done to clean up the Air Box?

Hi All

Long time lurker, must say its a great site full of info and helpful people.

I currently have 2 ttr250's both the blue models, one is just the daily farm run around bike the other is been turned into a lighter little faster weekend bike for the bush.

I have the air box out of the build bike atm and i'm just wondering if anyone has removed the (i'm just guessing what there called) resonator that's on the inlet tube and the carbon canister that's bolted to the box ?

Just want to know if this can be done and if done if there is anything to be gained or lost apart from some weight lose.

Bike will never be registered so i'm not worried about removing things that need to be there just for compliance.

The bike has been de corked and will be re jetted when it goes back together.

Any advice would be good.

Cheers
