Evening all, thought I would introduce myself been on the forum for a little while lurking for a TTR managed to pick an 05 model up at the weekend from essex. Bikes got less than 4k on it.

Was originally looking for an OE but decided to dig in the pockets and spend a little more on a newer model.

I'm from Nantwich, Cheshire so pretty much in the middle of north wales and the peaks perfect for trail riding. Anyone else from these parts? I'm in the navy however so all over the place currently based in Rosyth but moving to portsmouth in July.

Just need some new nobblys and shes good to go i think.

Certainly much slower than my old 450 (massively regret selling) below but all I need for the lanes. I have a street triple r for any speed work 😀

That line of stone through the ground in pic 1 is interesting.
You have some nice lanes round llangollen to play in.

Think it's something they have put in place to help with drainage. That's Allt y badi, seems to have deteriorted over the past couple of years certainly since I last rode it.

nice pics and nice looking bike looks all set up but might pay to get a bash plate as the original bars offer very little protection .

Yeah I agree had a few moments where I thought I shouldn't be going down this without a proper bash plate. There is a few big rocks in N wales that can catch you out. Trying to get one in the UK but looks like I might have to order one from b and b and posted over.

Bash Plates now be back in the shop - see here smile

I had these modified to add more frame protectionsmile

Unfortunately the manufacturer forget to alter the bolt holescry

I have had these welded  and I have made good the internal weld for perfect fitting.

See photos of re-worked fixing holes below:

Got a few things sorted on the TTR,

Fitted ultimatemobiles setup so I'm able put my phone on the bars and charge it at the same time. Using viewranger app. Had to remove crossbar on the handlebars to free up room for the mount which was a bit of a shame. Nevermind...

Also got the bash plate fitted from totallyttrs thanks Steve..

Works well with drc hydraulic lift..

Free sticker put to use..

Cheers,

Tom

As long as the drain holes aren't blocked by the pads you will be alright wink

Looking good.

I use a DRC damper lift too, excellent for lowering without crashing.

Not missing having a KTM then?

To be honest my bikes don't get that much use so for trail riding the odd couple of times a month and round the local back roads near me the TTR is ideal and plenty of power. I do miss the adrenaline you get from twisting the throttle on the KTM. But can't have it both ways. I always have the street triple for anything faster.

Steve,

Sticky pads were fine and in the right place I would keep sending them out stuck on just one less thing to do.

TTR so has 12 months MOT no advisorys.

Cheers,

Tom
