Ive got the callipar off the bike with the bleeder bolt loose and the brake line fitting off. Still cant get the pistons in this little bit extra i need for the new pads to go over the disc. Search some youtube and someone said after market pads can have more meat on the pads. Will the pistons go in further as theres 3mm still out. Thanks.

I usually prise them back in whilst the old pads are still in using a large flat blade screwdriver, although the pistons look like they are already all the way in

Thanks nelly.   Tried  that with the old pads in, i may have to use one old, one new pad for a while. Pistons may push in other millimeter or so but come back out.

Fitting new after-market disc and pads at the same time causes most grief cry

Had the problem of removing the screws from the brake resevior, had to drill them out , one was easy the other , well i broke the drill bit off inside the hole so its there to stay for a while. Theres is enough thread to hold it firm with no leaks. I used the screws from a carby bowl.  Other photo explains the only way i could bleed the brakes. Also had to use one old, one new brake pad to fit over the disc. What i thought may have been 2hour job turned into 6 hours.
