i went to do a little spring cleaning and took of the front sprocket guard and the nut that holds the 14th sprocket is loose.  it wont tighten down it has the pryable nut lock on it so it wont come off, but it seems that the bolt holding the gear on is stripped?  what should i do next?

I haven't heard of the thread on the shaft stripping although it could be worn from a loose sprocket retaining nut. My advice is to find a way of getting the existing nut off and try a new one to see if that will torque down.

See here

My front sprocket was loose when i got the ttr. Previous owner said he had done nothing to the bike at all. Very original it was with original tyres , sprockets , chain. Front sprocket had the lock tab on but the nut was finger loose
