ttrsale1.jpegttrsale6.jpegttrsale3.jpegttrsale5.jpeghi,i have to sell my good condition for year ttr due to regrettably having no garage anymore,it has a short mot til endish of june, new rear disk, recent chain and sprockets, kick starter kit fitted, new spark plug,oil/filter/magnetic drain plug, front wheel bearings+s/h stainless exhaust, all electric working, good rims, spokes

the motor sounds as smooth as a sewing machine and starts easily with just a prod,

i reckon it will go thru the mot ok,what i am a bit unsure about is there seems to be a small bit of play on the lower shock bearing,i have a new one from brian on the way and will be inc,

offered here first as is £1000 as i have not really got the time to do the work in the next  couple of weeks,

thanks,all the best,mart

in response to some questions,
it has had a replacement sprag clutch +matching pinions fitted a few hundred miles ago,it is a lot quieter than some,a bit rattly but alot less than many but no 'clunks',reliable.comes with a spare with no visible wear ,there is a r/h hand rail and standard engine bars, the tyres are road legal, the back is a road legal soft compound cheepo which i have left on as tyres are a personal choice,it has the original digi kms speedo showing under 7500kms but i am still using the bike, the tank is v slightly concave [knee?] on the right hand side but hardly noticible and easily fixed,no creasing or cracked paint,

the helmet lock doesnt work,no rear footrests ,on off headlight switch fitted, flexi numberplate, charging system/battery all good
the bike is 22 years old but is in better nick than some bikes a quarter of its age,
i would prefer anybody interested in having a look first,[one reason i moted her]
i have used the bike mainly country lanes, farm tracks, unclassifieds, never scrambling/enduros,i have had other riders remark about how clean the bike is for the age but also on how sweet the motor sounds,
i would rather the bike to sell through ttrs but she definitely needs to go,
all the best,martin,
if you pm me i will forward my number.

Hi Martin;

I have pm'd you. I assume you have had other questions regarding the helmet lock/type of tyre...these are not my questions.

My questions are:

Could you PM me some photographs (Larger); I simply cannot see the condition of the bike & won't come from York>London without them.

(If you look on the for sale board; you will see I have recently purchased a raid)

http://ttr250.activeboard.com/t62139623/ttr-250-for-sale-now-sold-thankyou/

The sale went smoothly- I met the seller & collected the bike at the agreed price.

The questions to you were

"I have just bought another raid & am looking for an OE.  Do you have any larger pictures please.

Usual questions

1.Spargclutch...any odd noises when start/stop (clunk)  ( thanks answered in full)

2.Speedo- works & mileage ( thanks answered; I cant believe it's 7,500km on a 22yr old bike)

3.History...(if you are able to help Martin; explain 2)

4.does it a bash plate & grabrails" ( I understand it has 1 grabrail & no bash plate)

I AM LOOKING TO PURCHASE 2 MORE RAIDS/OE's FOR A FILM similar to the last one

If you would like to keep your bike within the TTR fold- I am keen also and it will be famous!!! but I do require photographs beyond the size you have currently posted. (they cannot be enlarged)

I appreciate this public post  keeps up interest on your bike, I have never had to do this on any bike purchase prior to this, perhaps you could answer me by PM- I can then call you.

Thanks Martin

Regards

Rod

thanks to all who have shown interest in my ttr,i would have liked it to go via the forum but as i dont have any storage after next weekend [1 interested party was to pick it up last sat, another wanted me to deliver without looking/paying,another wants a 22 year old bike to have a 3mnth warranty!]i have struggled for the last 2 hours to take pics+video which didnt come out,i am advertising it to a wider audience, thanks martin,

I can see where Rod is coming from regarding the pictures I'm looking for an OE but dis-regarded your bike straight away due to the poor pictures. Try uploading to photobucket then pasting the link it gives you.

I think Cubber or Jarrah posted up how to add photos to messages but I can't find the post disbelief

I just drag the photo from my image viewer into the message and that seems the simplest way of doing it.

If you get stuck Martin just email me the photos to sales@totallyttrs.com and I will add them here for you.

Brian

hi tom and brian, thanks for the advice and offer to help[as always] i have trouble with technology and a pal came this morning and took pics+a vid with starting/stopping running sound etc, just waiting for them to be resent.i would not feel comfortable selling to somebody who hasnt viewed/tried first as ideas about condition etc are subjective, thats why i did the new mot to give some reassurance, the bike has to go by next sunday so time was the essence for viewing,if i get decent pics i will try to post them later,

all the best,martin

We have been having glorious weather down here in Devon.  Took a trip on the 325 to Sidmouth yesterday using the back roads and it was wonderful. No problem using a TTR in trail trim on the tarmac - just avoid motorways wink
