Hi All

Got a email from Brian the other day, to say that he's good friend Adrian was having to give up trail riding and was selling his bikecry

Lisa has promised to do her bike test this year, so we thought it would be a good bike for hersmile

Went to Brian's this morning and we drove to Adrian's, to pick the bike up. On the way there Brian said he forgot that this was his first TTR and the one that set him on the path of creating Totally TTR's brand and making the TTR following what it is todaysmilesmilesmile

I could not believe that I was about to buy the bike that started it all......WOW!!!!!

This bike will be getting the full Totally TTR's Rebuild, by me in the very near futuresmile

Just thought I would share this with you allsmilesmile

Yep - the very TTR250 that set me on the path Steve!

Made a half decent enduro bike smile

It was only after I bought it that I found how difficult it was to get TTR250 spares and there were just no after-market parts available for them at all. Manuals and general information on faults and fixes was non-existent. cry

A lot different now thank goodness wink

I reckon this is the colour scheme to work on - am beginning to love retro biggrinbiggrin

OK Brian

"made a half descent enduro machine"

With a tekniks (in Aus) suspension makeover I would put the TTR up against just about anything, been riding with WR250F's and they don't have anything
that would make me want to buy one.

Was out today with a "bush pig" DR650, it'd be nice to loft the front wheel whenever you want to but carrying around an extra 30kg is a pain
We got stuck in some heavy going stuff today, the DR did OK but hell when you drop them you know it, doing wheelies is just technique, it's easier with power
but not really a problem I think

BTW, I really love the red and white scheme, I was thinking of doing a full B&W theme but maybe not !!

Anyway that's my ramblings for now, I'm fracked after today

I know this isn't the ride report section but I can't be bothered so here's a couple of shots from today, post up a video later

Was out with a DR650 and a Vstrom 1000, odd mix !

I've just found a gold DiD 21" rim from a Honda XL600 which has the same number of spokes. Might be a better option if you're respoking anyway? (It's not for sale, I'm planning to play with it a bit and see how it looks) Just need to find an 18" rear...
Simon.
