Trying to adjust my Carburator

Plz anyone got any idea where fuel mixture srcew is on the carb?

When i open full throttle i m facing some engine jumble...

i have aftermarket exhaust...and never befrore tried to adjust the carb...i think thats the problem...the fuel mixture is very rich-poor or something similar...

ps:i already put new air filter and new spark...but the prob remains.

its not a big issue but i think I lose some of horsepower.

im reading the manual but it keeps sending me to Mr. Yamaha for carb adjusting

Hi there

If your TTR has problems at over quarter throttle then the problem lies with the main jet.

To adjust the fuel/air mixture on the main jet requires moving the needle up or down a clip or two depending on whether you need a richer or leaner mixture.

A rough and ready check is to try the TTR for a short run (after the engine has warmed up) without the air filter cover. If it runs worse (as I expect) then you probably need to richen the mixture by raising the needle a clip or two.

Lots of useful "how to" threads in the carb section.

Brian
