Last trip out of the year

We had a little trip out new years eve the weather was very wet me an Oly did round trip of some 14 lanes an after the rain we have had over the last weeks the lanes are a little wet and muddy. We made it back safe an well with just one ripped off finger nail. The trip home from the last lane in a rain an hail storm was put down in my book as one of the worst road trips i have ever had on a bike Lucky my hands was so wet and cold an i could not feel me finger till i got home. but all said i would do the same trip in the same weather any day of the week. Clips from the best three lanes on the run

We have a Water Lane near us too, used to be always a flow of water summer and winter, obviously much more in winter. It was an uphill climb over hard lumpy chalk (clunch) and quite a challenge. It's had a tro on it for about a year and is due to open again this spring as it's been "upgraded" to connect to the popular south downs way. I saw a photo the other day, sadly it looked as smooth as tarmac.

Yes martyn it's a nice lane was kind of hoping it would be wetter with the rain we have had at it's full flood best it's like a river ride of some two parts of 2 hundred yards each an even then not much more than a foot deep in any part of it. There is another lane like it over South Tawton way but it has not got the nice up hill climb of this one at the end

Everywhere seems to have green roads called watery lane, we got a couple up this way too!

Those two first lanes look like really fun hillclimbs with rocks an all thrown in. I love a good uphill.

Nice bit of water on the last, extended periods riding in water are good aint they, watch your electrics though!

All pretty lanes.

Cheers for sharing Martyn.
