From my own experience don't even try undoing them with an ordinary Allen key or socket no

Put the wheel on a firm surface and attack them with an impact driver with a good fitting head. I have had nearly 100% success rate with this system wink

So are you guys talking air powered Impact drivers or one of the ones you hit with a hammer ?

Or can you use the hammer drill function on a power drill

I have a pro quality Bosch hammer drill and a good quality Bosch cordless ??

The Hammer drill eats through concrete like it's made of wood !

Hammer drill/ impact driver will work but as you was thinking we was talking hit with a hammer type. best to crack them lose with that first the ones on Harley mag wheel use to be a bitch they was made of crap you could never turn them out with a hex key in a impact driver you had to punch them round with a centre punch to get then to start an always had to put new ones in after

I always, before even touching them give them a blast with a blowtorch. The heat helps break up any kind of rust or thread lock the bolts have on them. Doing this I've never ever had any problems with getting the bolts out.
